Fundraising

Warning Zone as an independent charity is constantly looking for additional funding support to ensure that it continues its work. The funding comes from local businesses, national companies, various funding organisations, grants, trusts and from within the community.

 

Corporate Fundraising:

Warning Zone is the only Life Skills Centre charity in the East Midlands (we cover Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland and many of the nearby counties such as Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Derbyshire). Because we receive no Statutory Funding or Lottery Funding we rely on support from businesses throughout the East Midlands.

Through working alongside Warning Zone, you are helping to protect children and young adults within our East Midlands Community, by teaching them life skills to stay safe both on and off-line.

Warning Zone, as an independent charity, is constantly looking for additional funding support to ensure that it continues its work. The funding comes from local businesses, national companies, various funding organisations, grants, trusts and from within the community.

We enjoy long term support from companies such as Next, Tarmac, Pochin, GAP Property Services and Shoezone, who fund us over a three year period, which helps us as a charity to plan ahead.

There are many other ways you can support us:

  • You may decide to give a one off donation to the charity
  • Or you may want to help pay for a particular item on our shopping list sponsoring or joint sponsoring one of our popular fundraising events would be welcome. We have at least six main events during the year, which are always well attended, where your corporate presence would be highly profiled.
  • You may want to sponsor a school or schools within your local area to visit Warning Zone or for “Roadcrew” to visit your local High School. We can advise on the schools within your area who may not be attending or cannot have a visit due to financial constraints.
  • We would be extremely happy to be considered as your Charity of the Year and complete any necessary application required.

Finally, you can help by organising your own event to support Warning Zone. A company Quiz Night / a Curry Night or other sporting and social events.

Community Fundraising:

We are always keen to hear from anyone with ideas on how we can raise money from within the local community. We are keen to attend various outdoor events to promote our charity.

Initiatives such as bag packing, sponsored runs/walks or swims are all areas we like to get involved in.

We are also keen to be considered for any group or society who may want to raise money on our behalf.
