All aboard the Rutland Belle

Posted: 20th July 2016.

Our annual Osprey Cruise on Rutland Water.

The end of the summer term brought about a very few busy weeks at Warning Zone. Some of us however were able to spend a pleasant evening on board the Rutland Belle. On the 5th, 6th and 7th July, passengers and supporters of the charity were taken on the scenic Rutland Water - one of the largest man-made body of water in Europe.

Whilst being wine-and-dined, passengers received a two hour cruise whilst receiving a commentary from the cruise and snagging their chance to win a fine box of champagne. The weather was good to us this year on all three evenings and a couple of Ospreys were spotted as well, one of them flying right overhead.

A big thank you to the High Sheriff of Leicester Surinder Sharma and the High Sheriff of Rutland for hosting the event in aid of Warning Zone. It was a very enjoyable and relaxing evening.
